Hello computer people and welcome to God Squid. I spent most of my youth hanging out online - making websites and graphics was my main creative outlet. This site was made to amuse myself, really, but maybe you'll happen upon something interesing here.

God Squid?

On Dec 9 2012 at 6:30pm I created a .txt document called "Quotes.txt" so I could save the following:

"If the Creator had indeed lavished his best design on the creature he shaped in his own image, creationists would surely have to conclude that God is indeed a squid."

I don't remember where I originally found it. Probably someone's signature on a forum. But it has lived in my brain rent-free ever since. A creationist website called Diamond's article a "groaner" and "baloney," which makes it even better. Quotes.txt has lived on, passed from PC to PC, as a tiny museum to the greatest quote I've ever read.

Shortening the concept to "God Squid" - as in, a squid that is a god and not "Squid God," the God of squids - made a pretty sick name, but alas, I already went by another online alias. So I hung onto it for a future project.

I myself am not God Squid, rather, God Squid is both a loose character concept and symbol of nostalgia, weirdness, creativity, and... squids (because squids are just neat).
